Katie Carter was born on October 10, 1985 in Victorville, California.
She moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado when she was 8 years old and later played indoor volleyball at UCLA 2003-2007. She was an All-American and graduated with a degree in History/Art History.


Katie continued her volleyball career on the professional level overseas and continues to do so. She has played in over 10 countries internationally and also has a few years of AVP experience under her belt.


She has coached for Sunshine Volleyball Club and Brentwood School in Los Angeles as well as a volunteer assistant for the FSU women’s indoor volleyball team. Katie is married to Hector Gutierrez, the couple has been married for 8 years.
